I made this // Mid-Century Inspired Nightstand

I’ve always loved trying my hand at carpentry and it’s been quite a while since I have attempted a wooden project.

So I found this mid-century inspired nightstand tutorial.

Now even though I try to do everything myself, Curly is always in my corner helping with the table saw and such.

I found the tutorial on YouTube off of a channel called “TheSorryGirls”. They have FANTASTIC DIYs. I’ve been watching them for a few months now, so it’s about time I tried one.

Check out the channel here

I’m pretty stinking happy with the results. As you can see, we modified it a little bit. The peg legs availible at my hardware store were shorter than those of the tutorial, so we decided to make up for the hight. Since it was now a lot taller of a box, we added the shelf.

I plan to make a few more of these when Curly and I get a bigger place. But for now, this one is a birthday present for my Little. 🙂

***P.S. After writing this post, while putting on the last coat of stain, I decided to let Aria play outside while I was working. I kid you not, I turn my back for one moment and she grabs the stain can and pours it down the front of her dress.

Needless to say, this will be my last carpentry project until my children are older.. unless they’re away with family or otherwise WELL occupied… ***

Hope you enjoyed this little show and tell! Have a fantastic weekend, my friends.

Love,
